The Celtic Lodge Edinburgh & Leith 291

The Celtic lodge bought the premises in the Lawnmarket in 1947. The Building dates back to the early rise of the Lawnmarket. Please see our History Connection in the Lawn Market and Brodie’s Close. We have spent £40,000.00 Last year on keeping the Roof water tight. We are looking to open a Museum in our Temple and would like donations of Masonic Memorabilia. Also in the Lodge we are looking to paint murals around the Temple on the History of the Lodge and Masonic traditions. So any Donations given will help the Celtic Lodge to continue, and Also help us to support in our gifts to Charities.

2011-2012-The forth coming project for the Building Committee is to renovate the Celtic Lodge Temple. We would welcome any suggestions, from not only our own Members but anyone with suggestions, possibly from our own Celtic Lodge History or Masonic History.

23rd November 2011. Hi Pipi I was very much honoured to present Chas with a Cheque for £1,000.00 on behalf of The Celtic Lodge 291 Edinburgh and Leith,

On Wednesday 14th December 2011 Brothers Sidney Yeoman PM, David Hull PM and William JR Boland attended Kirkliston Scouts Group with the view of presenting a £1,000.00 Cheque to the Scouts.  We arrived on the night of the Cub Scouts Christmas Party, Mrs Pam Hull introduced us to the Cubs. Bro Sid and Bill Presented the Scout Leader with the Cheque to the loud approval of the Cubs. Then Santa came in to the loud roar of the Cubs, Santa gave out the presents, and when Santa left the Cubs were singing Rudolf the Red Noise Raindeer. Then Bro Sid, David, and Bill  presented the Cubs with some Christmas presents. The cubs sung some more songs and had a good time. We all had a good time. As we left Mrs Hull said this Donation was very welcome as the roof of the Scout Hall had been blown off by a storm 2 nights ago. Pam asked us to thank the Brethren of the Celtic Lodge on behalf of the Scouts.
