Here is a little piece for the Pipers page.

When Jeremy John Bell was Raised in 1988, he was playing Folk Music at the Ensign Ewart Pub in Edinburgh, Three Nights a Week and was often called upon to Entertain the Celtic Lodge Brethren and Visitors at Harmony after the Lodge Degrees.

Although he only Piped once in the Lodge Temple, he played Fiddle at the Burns Dinners and Sang Songs on Banjo and Guitar on a regular basis!

He still sings many of the Songs he learned from visiting Delegations in Pubs in America, where he now lives.

Before he could get more involved in the Lodge.

Bro Jeremy met an American girl (in the Ensign Ewart) who must have believed the words in those Folk Songs, for they got Married and Emigrated to the States in the ‘90s.

He didn’t even know there were Masons in America, and might not have furthered his Masonic Journey, had he not bought a House that had been used as a Lodge room in the 18th Century.

A former Coaching Inn, the Kendall Tavern was the Birthplace for Aurora lodge, which was still meeting in the Town.

When he knocked, the Door Opened, and he was amazed to find that his neighbor:-

Donald Gardener Hicks, was none other than the Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of Massachusetts! Jeremy was again welcomed into the Fraternity. The Grand Master held a Meeting in the Old Lodge Room, and received a dispensation to run a Second Degree there.

Most importantly for this article, Donald Hicks was a Kilt wearing Mason, and Jeremy was asked to be his Grand Lodge Piper!

Bro Jeremy bought a Celtic Lodge Collar and proudly attached the Masonic Piping Medal.

A nice twist is that Jeremy was The Glenlivet Piper at the time, as his work in America was for that great Whisky Company.

At the first ever Meeting of Celtic Lodge, Alexander Stewart Christened the event with that very same spirit!

Jeremy now Bagpipes himself into Lodge, explaining his Tartan Apron and why he has brought a bottle of The Glenlivet for the Harmony!

He is thrilled that he can now present the Master, a Celtic Lodge pin, explaining why Celtic Lodge promoted the wearing of the Tartan, the playing of the Pipes, and the drinking of the liquid sunshine! Slainthe!

I have enclosed a picture of me with Donald Gardener Hicks, a past Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.
