37 RWM Brother Edward James Inches 74th RWM 1921-1922

Reponing of the Celti Lodge 291 and Election and Installation of Office Bearers 20th January 1921

RW Installing Master Brother Joseph Inglis Chairman of the Metropolitan Visitation Committee in Attendance.

Brother Lieutenant Colonel Edward J Inches to be RWM 1921-1922.

The Lodge was passed to the second Degree and raised to the third Degree.

The Charter and a copy of the constitution and Laws of the Grand Lodge of Scotland were laid upon the table.

The Lodge then preceded to election of Officers bearers.

On the motion of Brother James Wood an Old member of the Celtic Lodge and seconded by Brother James Sime Waterson, Brother Lieutenant Colonel Edward J Inches DSO DL JP, was unanimously elected Right Worshipful Master Thereafter the following brethren were unanimously elected to the various offices as follows: -

Brother Joseph Inglis acted as Right Worshipful Installing Master

Brother James Wood introduced installation of the Right Worshipful Master Brother Lieutenant Colonel Edward J Inches.

The usual charges and regulations were read by, Brother David Reid Grand Secretary and assented to by Brother Edward J Inches who thereafter took the Oath of Office of RWM and was installed as Master of the Celtic Lodge thereafter the other Office Bearers were installed and took their respective places

The Right Worshipful Installing Master addressed the Right Worshipful Master the Worshipful Wardens and Brethren.

The Right Worshipful Master thanked the Right Worshipful Installing Master and Members of the Visitation Committee for reopening of the Celtic Lodge and the Right worshipful Installing Master for the dignified and impressive manner in which he carried through the ceremony the Lodge was closed in due and solemn form.

Annuity Fund: -

In response to the RWM appeal the sum of ten pounds five shillings (£10-5/-) was collected for Grand Lodge Annuity Fund.

A very excellent Musical Programme was arranged by Brother George Campbell he being ably assisted by Brother J S Baker-Frank Moyes- W Hean Findlay and William Short.

Thereafter the brethren encircled the room and joined in singing Auld Lang Syne and The National Anthem.
